Abstract

This study shows that how Natural Language Processing and emotion recognition can be integrated into Human-Robot Interaction for better human-robot collaboration. This research study is about the new technique which makes life easier and worthy. A robot that can understand and respond to humans is developed and tested. The robot was subjected to tests which involved a series of experiments with a set of participants performing various tasks with the robot. The results indicate that the robot capable of recognizing emotions performed significantly better than the robot that cannot. Particularly, the robot that could recognize human emotions has shorter time periods for the same tasks and higher accuracy. Finally, it had greater satisfaction found in the results. The emotional intelligence of a robot can help to create a positive and successful human-robot collaboration on a robot with a humanlike appearance as the participants who had such a robot showed more trust and empathy. Natural language processing and emotion recognition can improve the performance of robots in shared work situations, particularly in personal care, services, and education.
