Steel Fiber Reinforced Self-Compacting Concrete (SFRSCC) represents a significant advancement in modern construction materials by combining the flowability of self-compacting concrete (SCC) with the tensile strength enhancement of steel fiber reinforcement. This review synthesizes recent peer-reviewed literature on SFRSCC, examining its mechanical properties, fresh state characteristics, durability performance, and construction applications. The addition of steel fibers directly affects the workability of the mix, with this influence depending on the fiber dosage, leading to a noticeable reduction in slump flow and an increase in flow time, while simultaneously showing significant improvement in flexural strength and ductility as the fiber dosage percentage increases. (Naadia, Gueciouer and Ghernouti, 2025) When the fiber content was 1% 6mm + 1% 13mm + 1% 25mm, the compressive strength increased by 41.15%, the flexural strength increased by 266.41%, and the elastic modulus reached 40.82 MPa. (Hu et al., 2025) This paper reviews 19 peer-reviewed studies covering formulation optimization, mechanical characterization, durability assessment, and practical applications of SFRSCC, identifying key research trends and future directions.
