SOCIAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL STUDY OF ASHFAQ AHMED VIRK SKETCHES ''QALMI DUSHMANI'' IN THE CONTEXT OF (HUMOR AND SATIRE)

Abstract

Sketch is a fascinating genre of prose literature. it is a piece of writing that is generally shorter than a short story. Sketch means a map or a picture made with lines, but in literary terms, sketch refers to a prose writing in which the unique and prominent features of a person are presented in this way that his image should come in front of eyes. Ashfaq Ahmed virk basically a humorous writer and he started his literary journey by writing humorous articles. he adopted the genre of sketching to express humor and he holds a prominent position as a sketch writer in the literature. The first work based on his sketches came out in the name of " Qalmi Dushmani",which was well appreciated in literary circles. Humor reflects the characters and social problems of the society while the humorist's style reflects his personality and psychology. In this Article, Ashfaq Ahmed Virk's sketches have been studied socially and psychologically in the context of his book "Qalmi dushmani". The book qalmi dushmani consist of twenty topics, including sketches of eleven personalities and some humorous writings.

خاکہ نثری ادب کی ایک دلکش صنف ہے۔یہ تحریر کا ایک ٹکڑا ہے جو عام طور پر مختصر کہانی سے چھوٹا ہوتا ہے۔اس کے معنی نقشہ یا لکیروں سے بنائی ہوئی تصویر کے ہیں لیکن ادبی اصطلاح میں خاکہ سے مراد ایک نثری تحریر ہے جس میں کسی شخصیت کی منفرد اور نمایاں خصوصیات کو اس انداز سے پیش کیا جاتا ہے کہ اس کی تصویر آنکھوں کے سامنے آ جائے۔     اشفاق احمد ورک بنیادی طور پر ایک مزاح نگار ہیں۔انھوں نے مزاحیہ مضامین لکھ کر اپنے ادبی سفر کا آغاز کیا۔مزاح کے اظہار کے لیے انھوں نے خاکہ نگاری کی صنف کو اپنایا اور بحیثیت خاکہ نگار ادب میں نمایاں مقام رکھتے ہیں۔ ان کے خاکوں پر مبنی پہلی تصنیف ”قلمی دشمنی“کے نام سے منظرِ عام پر آئی جس کو ادبی حلقوں میں خاصی پذیرائی حاصل ہوئی۔مزاح معاشرے کے کرداروں اور سماجی مسائل کی عکاسی کرتا ہے جبکہ مزاح نگار کا اسلوب اس کی شخصیت اور نفسیات کی ترجمانی کرتا ہے۔اس مقالے میں اشفاق احمد ورک کے خاکوں کا ان کی کتاب ”قلمی دشمنی“کے تناظر میں سماجی اور نفسیاتی مطالعہ کیا گیا ہے۔کتاب قلمی دشمنی بیس موضوعات پر مشتمل ہے۔ جس میں گیارہ شخصیات کے خاکے اور کچھ مزاحیہ تحریریں شامل ہیں۔
